About the Author
Bryan began his financial career immediately following earning his CPA credentials and Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. Later he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Executive MBA program. His career started as a staff accountant for the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois where he eventually became the Chief Financial Officer. After 19 years of experience in public retirement matters, he worked for 5 years with Benefit Planning Consultants, Inc. - a third party administration corporation overseeing private retirement plans. He is currently associated with Chesser Financial, where he has been assisting individuals in their personal retirement planning for the last 13 years. Bryan earned Million Dollar Round Table membership within four months at Chesser Financial. He earned VIP of the Year award from Ohio National Financial Services that same year. In 2010, Bryan was recognized by Ohio National with their Chairman’s Navigator Award, recognizing him for the personal integrity Bryan exhibits with his clients and business relationships. Bryan and his spouse of 32 years, Pam, live in Champaign, Illinois, and are avid fans of The University of Illinois Fighting Illini. They have two daughters, Callie and Corrie.

A proverbial handbook

I have been in the financial services now for 21 years with a few professional designations. I am 10 year life and qualifying member of MDRT. While some reading the review will not know what that means, you may have to google that. For practitioners in our biz, then you know what that means. I only preface this to be able to explain to the reader of the review that it is very difficult for a book like this to come to light in our current regulatory environment. I want to give credit to the author for the obvious persistency in having his book approved by his Broker/Dealer. A book like this would have to undergo multiple revisions, additions, deletes, and disclaimers because of the content. There are not many books in the marketplace I have seen that does a good job in explaining the fine details of a life contract funded at close to MEC levels. Great job Bryan!!

I enjoyed reading this book.

Common sense when you really think about it. Wall Street has us hoodwinked! Setting up and using whole life insurance the RIGHT way is a great place to store wealth. Wall Street and investment banks don't like it because they can't make money off of us or at least not as much money...HOWEVER, the little known secret is that THEY buy tons of this for their own portfolios. This should make you wonder about the standard advice you've been receiving all these years!!!

there is more to the story than we are told

this book is another good read from the same author for me. I find Bryan to be clear and concise in his writing. Enough story to illuminate the subject well but not so much as to bring the reader to YAWN.... if you are interested in challenging what you have been taught to see if you actually were taught wrong, I challenge you to read this book as a follow up to Bryan's other book "Why What I was Taught TO Be True Has Turned Out Not to Be. Bryan writes with authority and with Knowledge that a lot of writers do not have, or demonstrate. I'd say try this one.
