About the Author
ANDRAS GERO was born in Budapest in 1952. He is the director of the Hapsburg History Institute and Professor at the ELTE University Faculty of Economics and Social History. He also lectures regularly at the Central European University. His research territories are the era of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the development of the middle class and the history of symbolic politics. He is editor in chief of Budapesti Negyed and a member of the editorial committee of Szazadok.

this book is very good and deserves your attention this book covers the last 50 years of the
habsburg empire and there is in the first but pretty long chapter that covers the habsburg empire
from its begining to the creation of the austro hungarian dual monarchy as the book totaly points out
the austro hungarian empire lasted longer then the successor states at the end of world war one
and even though the monarchy has vanished close to a century ago remeberance of the empire
still continue to fasinate people to this day what is interesting is that the austro hungarian empire
had produced some of the most brilliant minds of the late 19th and early 20th centuries
with people like sigmund freud , great military thinkers like conrad von hotzendorf
and archduke karl, franz ferdinand, and it is interesting to note that might not be menched in the book
is the fact that most of germanys scientist and enginiers during world war 2 came from the former dual monarchy
they also helped the united states after world war 2 and today when there now exists a european union
which some have said is a modified version of the austro hungarian empire

They call the star Sirius B, Po Tolo, a dense white dwarf star. The cosmology of the Dogon uncannily reflects the mathematics of quaternions. The fractal nature of VBM lends itself to being regarded as a special case of Hamilton's quaternions. We thus explore the interconnectedness of all three. The book also takes some rather strange twists with the quaternions leading us to novel perspectives on magic squares and the behavior of virtual particles. VBM is by no means numerology. It is a well defined mathematical system for generating fractals. The basic rules of operation are extremely easy requiring very little effort. The wonderment comes when we are introduced to how these numbers behave when placed within Marko Rodin's "circuit". Not only do the quaternions act as if they are in an electrical circuit but as an added bonus we generate Phi, the golden ratio. Pi is intimately related to Hamilton's quaternions via Euler's identity, and Psi is the wave function of quantum mechanics. The book cleverly unifies these four seemingly disparate entities into one collective whole all through the rules of VBM.

About the Author
Dr. Nadeem Karimbux is currently Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Education in the Office of Dental Education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). He is the Program Director for the Advanced Graduate Program in periodontology at the HSDM. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he is also a Board Certified practicing periodontist in the Harvard Dental Center. At the national level, Dr. Karimbux is a member of the Council of Faculties of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA); curriculum consultant and site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation to the American Dental Association (ADA); and Test Consultant for the Dental Admissions Test for the American Dental Association. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Periodontology and MedEdPORTAL.

How anyone could make research methods funny, clear, and concise is beyond me, but the authors did it. No, there is no way to dumb down a topic that is inherently complicated and intricate process. Over simplifying it would be misleading and insult the community for it was written. As a social worker, I appreciate the real life examples, sarcasm, and humor! Thanks. I will most certainly read their other publication Psychology Statistics For Dummies.

This book makes understanding pros and cons to several types of methodologies in psychology research understandable. I love that it breaks down the information in clear and logical chapters. This book covers both qualitative and quantitative methods and discusses validity and reliability in term that are meaningful to the beginning level psychology researchers. This book is a good refresher for those who have been away from such research for a while and is a manageable introduction to those who are just starting out in this field. I recommend this as a supplement book if the required text is wordy or hard to understand. This will make the concepts clear and it gives examples of the concepts, which is always helpful! I wish some area of content were covered more in depth regarding pros and cons to each style of research design, but for the price and purpose, this is a good buy.Research Methods in Psychology For Dummies
