About the Author
Efraim Turban is currently a Visiting Scholar with the Pacific Institute for Information Systems Management College of Business University of Hawaii at Manoa. He obtained his MBA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. His industry experience includes eight years as an industrial engineer, three of which were spent at General Electric Transformers Plant. He also has extensive consulting experience to small and large corporations as well as to foreign governments. In his 30 years of teaching, Dr. Turban has served as Distinguished Professor at Eastern Illinois University, and as Visiting Professor at UCLA, City University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and University of Miami. He also taught at UCLA, USC, Simon Fraser University, and California State University, Long Beach and has held permanent positions with Lehigh University, Simon Fraser University, and Florida International University. Dr. Turban was a co-recipient of the 1984/85 National Management Science Award (Artificial Intelligence in Management). In 1997 he received the Distinguished Faculty Scholarly and Creative Achievement Award at California State University, Long Beach. He was the co-chair of the 1999 International Conference of Electronic Commerce. Dr. Turban has published over 100 articles in leading journals. He has also published 21 books, including Electronic Commerce 2004: A Managerial Perspective.

R. Kelly Rainer, Jr. is George Phillips Privett Professor of Management Information Systems at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. He received his BS degree in Mathematics from Auburn and his Doctor of Dental Medicine for ten years, Professor Rainer returned to school and received his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia. He has published numerous articles in leading journals. His current research interests include health care informatics and information technology security.

Richard E. Potter is Assistant Professor of Information and Decision Sciences in the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received a bachelors degree in psychology from California State University-Hayward, and an MS in Management degree and Ph.D. degree in Management and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. Dr. Potter was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health and Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Professor of MIS at the University of Arizona’s Keller School of Management. He also served Mexico’s ITESM system as Director of Research and Doctoral Programs at their Mexico City Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Potter’s current research interest is cognition and behavior in the electronics environment, with emphasis on performance assessment and intervention with electronically supported groups, and cultural effects on collaborative technology use. He has published in a number of leading scientific journals, has authored numerous book chapters, and has presented his work in academic conferences around the world.

Several of you have written to me saying "How can this possibly be heaven? If this is heaven, why does it feel like hell??" And I want to say that I'm actually not surprised by that reaction, and even when I came up with the title, I expected some of you to say that to me!! So let me explain. Many years ago, my life was hell too. I was bullied very badly as a child, and was taunted and discriminated against for the color of my skin and my family origin--something I had no control over. That really made my life miserable. And it certainly felt like hell when I was going through cancer, being in constant pain and fear for all those years.

Life truly was a struggle for me, and I lived in immense fear for a huge part of my life. I had always believed that life happens to us. In other words, I believed that I was a victim of my circumstances, so I was always reacting to life instead of creating life. Of course I didn't believe I created my life circumstances. Who would create a childhood of bullying and discrimination, all of which shaped my thinking? Who would choose to be born as a woman into a culture that still believes women are inferior to men? Who would create cancer in their own life? Of course I was a victim of my circumstances. Or so I thought...until I "died".

It's been 10 years since I faced death and came out the other side. Now when I look back at these past 10 years, I can see that my life is so drastically different from what it was prior, that I sometimes wonder whether I actually came back from death, or whether I'm still in the other realm. All the fear I used to have, all the pain, all the insecurity - they are all gone! So much so that I wonder whether I'm still dead and this is heaven! Every day, I get to do stuff I love to do! Of course this feels like heaven!

But then I read the letters I have received over the last few years from so many of you, where you share your pain, and your fears. And also, I take a look around at the world around us. And it all brings me back down to earth. And I wonder, "Why can't we all create this state of heaven for ourselves? What is preventing us from doing it? Why did it take death for me to realize how to live my life? Isn't it a wasted life if people only learn the truth of how to live when they die?"

Those are the questions that inspired me to write this book. I don't want you to have to wait until you die to learn how to live. Remember, we are all connected, and I feel what you feel. This book comes from my heart to yours.

About the Author
Anita Moorjani is the New York Times best-selling author of Dying to Be Me (published by Hay House in 2012), an account of her nearly four-year battle with cancer that culminated in a fascinating and moving near-death experience in 2006, which vastly changed her perspective on life. The book, which reached the bestseller list within two weeks of its release and remained there for nine weeks, has since been translated into more than 45 languages and sold more than one million copies worldwide. In February 2015, Scott Free Productions (owned by internationally acclaimed Hollywood producer Ridley Scott) optioned the rights to make Dying To Be Me into a full-length feature film.

Real-world examples of living from unconditional love and understanding

This book is full of anecdotes from real life that are really helpful. Anita writes each chapter to show a different situation and possible ways to understand and deal with them. She also has tips and ideas to close each chapter. This is a great way to learn. This is what I've been waiting for as a follow-up to her first book - how to live your life with the wisdom gained from an NDE or epiphany. I highly recommend it!

I was so excited when I seen Anita had a new book coming out, and I pre ordered it right away. I was not dissapointed this book was just so calming to me to read. She just has a genuine warmth about her and I feel her as being a very authentic person. I loved her honesty in this book and I loved the part about just being yourself and not feeling like a failure if you have negative thoughts just means we are human it's a part of life we experience. I just feel she is very genuine. Thank you Anita this book was amazing.

My favorite book in years -- maybe of all time.

This is one of those books I wish had been around for when I was going through middle school, high school, college, etc. The message rings so true with my soul, but no other book has managed to word it in such a pure way that is easy to digest. When I first saw each chapter listed by the popularly held belief system, I was unsure that every chapter would pertain to me. I was so wrong. Every single chapter has a valuable (and relatable) lesson. It has even helped me experience feelings of self-forgiveness for something I did 10 years ago that I still haven't let myself off the hook for! (And I've read plenty of books on forgiveness). Anita Moorjani, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful perspective with the world.

save the trees

this book is a complete disaster. As its mysterious title indicates, the book is very vague and does not explain any of the proposed matters. It seems like the author gathers information from here and there and throws it at you in an attempt to make up the chapters. To make the matters worse, the quality of the print and paper is almost as bad as the author's work. Although this book would make a great door stop, it's still a waste of a good tree. PLease save the trees and your money and don't buy this book.

This book is a terrible attempt to cover electrical machines. There are multiple errors within the first few pages, the examples skip critical steps, and the overall arrangement of the material is confusing. I have been working with a book which is heads and shoulders above this by: Stephen Chapman, Electric Machinery Fundamentals, available from Amazon here:Electric Machinery Fundamentals.
