Informative Beginner's Guide

I'm becoming more aware of my energy field and how to take care of my psychic self, so to speak. This is exactly as described: a brief, fundamental introduction to balancing your chakras. It is 69 pages long and touches base on all 7 chakras and their function. Each chapter has a description of how you will feel balanced and how you will feel when imbalanced; balancing exercises for each individual chakra; questions to ask yourself what factors connect with chakra function/malfunction; and a brief list of physical and emotional symptoms connected to each. Also short guides at the end for crystal healing and aromatherapy.

I was recently assessed for free at a holistic expo and told I have a Solar Plexus blockage. I felt that I could trust the woman who told me, and I cross-referenced physical & emotional symptoms. The description fit my issues to a T. I got this book and was recently able to take a moment and do a crystal exercise; I felt much better for the rest of the day. A Beginner's Guide to the Chakras is a fantastic starter book for those who are new to awareness of energy, even those skeptics. It's informative and to the point, without confusing spiritual lingo. I'm learning quite a bit and I highly recommend it.

Excellent beginner's guide purchase

This is an excellent Beginner's guide to the Chakra's, easy to understand and gives a description of each chakra and the health affects of each one if blocked. I'm new to learning about the chakra's and I've found it extremely helpful. It's a small but very helpful starter book. Very happy with purchase, received very quickly, would order again thank you :) x

Excellent guide to design and analysis a coil in MRI

In spite of the importance of a coil in MRI, such as gradient and RF coil, there are few books on it. So many books on MRI. But they have been focused only on the imaging method or the basic principles of MRI.
This is the only guide book on RF and gradient coil, as I have found, and deals with current topics on the analysis and design on the hardware of MRI. Also, the references on each topics are well arranged and very useful.

More need for books on NMR hardware design

The book "Electromagnetic Analysis and Design" by Jianming Jin is one of the very few books that covers hardware aspects of NMR. The book gives a clear overview of the theory behind the design of both gradient coils and rf coils. What I missed somehow in the book is a more hands-on approach and references on how to really start designing one's own NMR coils.

Made a difficult subject easy to understand

This is not the first John Van Auken book I've read, and I've seen him speak, so I'm a big fan. He really has a way with words and taking complicated subject matter and making it so easy to understand. I love how he relates things to his readers. The vast knowledge shared in Edgar Cayce and the Kabbalah is just mind-blowing. I highly recommend it to anyone who is on a spiritual path--no matter your religion.

Clear Explanation of Kabbalah

If you are a beginner to Kabbalah, you will find this book easy to read and understand. I've seen other books on the subject which were much more difficult to comprehend. John Van Auken always peppers his books with stories that illuminate the essence of the topic, which is very helpful. The only caveat I have is that the book does discuss Edgar Cayce's views and how they compare to the Kabbalah, so if you are not into the Cayce material, it might not appeal to you.
